Hey everyone,

Thanks to those who filled out the user survey; if you haven't thrown in
your 2¢ we're still accepting feedback through the end of the month.

In the same vein, I've linked to some initial wireframes created by Naomi
of SpatialDev as part of a general UI/UX review for GeoNode being sponsored
as part of the OpenDRI project at the World Bank. These are still in the
initial stages but we're sending them out to solicit feedback about the
high-level experience to help inform what information and actions should be
prioritized as we refine various interfaces.

We're especially interested in feedback that focuses on "big picture"
questions (eg, is GeoNode about maps, authors, data, or something else?
what significant information or actions are missing from these wireframes
if GeoNode is "about data"? are the most important goals of users exploring
a GeoNode site being met?). While feedback about small-scale interactions
(eg, "this information should be in tabs" or "what does this pop-up look
like?") is welcome, those sorts of questions will be better addressed
during the next round of wireframes.

We're looking forward to see what discussion develops on the list but ask
that everyone remember that GeoNode represents a wide-community of users
with varied goals. If you'd prefer to said feedback off-list, send it along
to [email protected] and we'll be sure to incorporate it into the
review. *Please submit any feedback by April 1st.*

Thanks,
Rolando
