Er, the current GeoServer logo 
http://geoserver.org/download/userResources/GEOS/logo has about the same 
  portion of the world.  And PostGIS has even less 
http://www.postgis.org/download/logo_suite/stock_elephant/stock_elephant_060.gif

Perhaps we could have two, that people can use as they like?  I don't 
like the double one, and the pangaea sounds like it would be weird.
