yes, and:

I like the idea quite a bit. I also would like to throw in the mix
the notion that a new module has to stage a little in extensions,
so that users can hit it for some time, before moving it into core.
And ask for a GSIP for that kind of move: given that the module
in question has already been in extensions and thus already has
a wiki page, decent code coverage and a maintainer the GSIP would
just have to explain why the module is important enough to become
part of the standard distribution, and the PSC should already have
an idea about the module, so the whole GSIP+vote should be quick.
