Geoserver does not know what sort of geometries feature types from Oracle
backend contains. Therefore it is advertising by default in WFS 1.0
DescribeFeatureType document a general type "gml:GeometryAssociationType" which
is problematic for some WFS clients.
For WFS 1.1. geometry type can be set explicitly by creating and editing
schema.xml file. However, this does not work for WFS version 1.0.
