Expose generalization distance control in PDF and SVG output
------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOS-3102
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3102
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: WMS
    Affects Versions: 1.7.4
            Reporter: Andrea Aime
            Assignee: Andrea Aime
             Fix For: 1.7.x, 2.0.x

Both PDF and SVG outputs are vector in nature, so they are not bound to a
specific resolution.
The renderer used in both still generalizes the geometries following the
resolution that comes from the width/height parameters as if the output was
vector.
We could just drop the generalization, or allow the user to control it more
explicitly. I'm unsure on how to proceed in particular because the size of the
output with big datasets can skyrocket without the on the fly generalization
the renderer is applying today.
