When the intersection of the requested bbox with the shapefile is not null the
response time is OK, if not it will parse the whole shapefile geometries (I
guess so).
I found this problem when using WMS FeatureInfo and when making WFS requests
Andre Aime confirms this issue ( I gave him sample data to reproduce the bug).
