Hi all, Fernando and myself have been discussing some things related to setting up a brazil specific geoserver site. We have some ideas and would like to sum up our discussion to get feedback from the community.
First off what Fernando wants is basically the regular geoserver home page, but with a few tweaks. * A specific domain/host, we agreed that http://br.geoserver.org would work well * The site translated into Portuguese (Brazilian) * The logo modified slightly. Nothing too drastic. Fernando suggested maybe somehow just working the yellow/green color scheme into the current logo. Be nice to get feedback on this one specifically. * Any links on the site made specific where appropriate. Things like pointing the mailing list to the Brazilian mailing list, the blog pointed to the translated geoserver blog, centering the ol map on Brazil, etc... And that would be more or less it. What do people think about setting up a language/country specific site in this way? Feedback welcome. I could see this becoming the template for other communities that want to set up a slightly more catered site. -Justin -- Justin Deoliveira OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org Enterprise support for open source geospatial. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
