Hi Michael,
The official scripts that are used for the foss4g WMS shootout live here:

However to run them it involves setting up quite a bit of data. I would
recommend to download and install apache jmeter, and create your own test
suite that is tailored to your exact data. It is very easy with jmeter to
simulate very heavy loads on the server.
