can contribute to both(GT/GS) releases in the future as well.

Victor I have a standing offer to release geotools if needed to support
GeoServer release process. However we can set you up with permissions to make a
GeoTools release; and indeed Justin has provided scripts on that side as well
(which we are also trying to test).
