Well... for this issue there are two ways forward. The low effort route
which involves forgoing the namespace lookup in the catalog and instead use
the one that comes from the feature type info. As Ben mentions the more
robust case would be to allow read only access to the namespace... but this
is a pretty core change to the security stuff.
So if Ben agrees that the short term solution in this case will work i
would vote we go for that route, and i do believe it could get into the
2.2.0 release.
