Hi,
once the 2.2.2 release is officially out we have a number of pull requests
concerning backports from trunk that should be ok to merge within
two weeks.
Here is a list:
* documentation and code for the Freemarker template REST editing feature:

for merge
on trunk, but would really need some action from the respective module
maintainers:

I have notes about other pull requests that are waiting there, but these
are probably
going to spur some topic specific discussion so I'll open separate threads
