Hi,
this pull request adds the concept of pre-cooked per SLD legend graphic,
that should
be used in case a whole style legend is requested (in contrast to having a
per Rule
pre-rendered graphics, which is part of the SLD but of course does not
allow the same
level of control over the whole style legend appearance):

The patch seems good besides the fact that it has no tests, but breaking
new configuration
API by a mere pull request, with no discussion, is kinda new, so I wanted
to start this
thread and collect some feedback from other core developers before
proceeding.
As said, the patch is stuck anyways due to lack of tests, so there is no
rush
