The GeoServer PSC has never verified or approved an official certification
exam, so there is nothing
actually backed by the GeoServer community.
That said, there are companies selling "certifications", so you can ask
them.
The value of the certificate is of course hard to evaluate, given there are
no rules about what kind of
training you should receive, what type of questions you should answer to,
and so on.
I'd say it's mostly related to how much you trust/respect the company
selling the certification.
