This is caused by the fact that the ReturnFeatureType field is empty for the default query, which is: urn:ogc:def:query:OGC-WFS::GetFeatureById. Although this can be considered a bug, I also have to notice that there is an addition to the 2.0.0 version standard in the form of WFS 2.0.2 which permit the ReturnFeatureType field to be empty as a wildcard for FeatureType's. I'm also posting this issue up on the devel mailing list for discussion.
