Ciao Jody, I am not sure where we are with the security fixes and backporting them to 2.6.x.
I would not be extremely happy to release 2.6.latest without the security fixes in it ( see an email exchange from a few days ago); alternative plan is to make another 2.6 afterwards (we volunteer for that).
