I agree that there has been more issues found during this RC1 iteration, in
part due to this release having a lot of codebase wide changes.
If I volunteer to make an RC2 I would need to make the 2.9.0 within a
couple of days due to my availability. If we do make an RC2 I would like
to ensure we have a specific thing to test (such as the GEOS-7507 installer
+ service wrapper),
- My testing of the installer (
http://geoserver.geo-solutions.it/downloads/releases/2.9-RC1-test/) went
smoothly - thanks Alessandro.
- The resource / importer changes would also qualify, if I had a day to
test I would work here.
My preference would be to make the 2.9.0 release next Tuesday (as it is a
long weekend here in Canada).
