This is a known issue that was recently fixed [1]. If you upgrade to a recent
nightly build it should work.

Hi all,

I'm using geoserver 2.0.2 and sql server 2008
I got this error while trying to compute bounds of my sql server 2008 layer of
type ploygon and get this error

Caused by: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: A .NET Framework
error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or aggregate
"geometry": System.ArgumentException: 24144: This operation cannot be completed
because the instance is not valid. Use MakeValid to convert the instance to a
valid instance. Note that MakeValid may cause the points of a geometry instance
to shift slightly. System.ArgumentException: at

is this a problem of my layer it self?
what is the error that make geoserver can't comput the Lat/Lon Bounding Box of
my layer?
could any one help me on that?
Thanks,

Marwa Elsaid
