What filesystem are you using?
How is the layer xyz configured?
By "this directory", do you mean
/data/geoserver/data/gwc/xyz/EPSG_900913_18/0139_0167 ?

Dear all,
it seems that nobody beside me knows something about this message.
Could you please try again to help me with a solution?

*Subject:* [Geoserver-users] file too large
Hi all,
I use Geoserver 2.0 and like to configure Geowebcache. It seems that
the millions of seeded tiles are not used by GWC and always new tiles
are generated. In the geoserver.log I found many entries like the
following:
2011-01-24 19:34:41,021 ERROR [storage.StorageBroker] - Unable to save
tile:
/data/geoserver/data/gwc/xyz/EPSG_900913_18/0139_0167/00142866_00171441.png
(File too large) for
/data/geoserver/data/gwc/xyz/EPSG_900913_18/0139_0167/00142866_00171441.png
In this directory reside 419439 files.
On the disc there are more than 400 GB free and also there are still
free INodes.
So does anybody know, how to work around?
Greetings from Vienna
Wolfgang

The modern datacenter depends on network connectivity to access resources
and provide services. The best practices for maximizing a physical server's
connectivity to a physical network are well understood - see how these
rules translate into the virtual world?
