Hi,

we installed multiple instances of GeoServer 2.1.x with different users on a
tomcat and moved all the jars of GeoServer into a shared lib-directory on
the tomcat. This didn't work because ALL instances of GeoServer used the
users (users.properties) of the FIRST instance - when we copied the jars
back the lib directories of the GeoServer instances, it works. It seems that
GeoServer cashed the users defined in users.properties somewhere depending
of the jar-files. Can we avoid this with a setting or is it impossible to
share the jar files of GeoServer for multiple instances?

Kind regards
Martin Zeller
