Hi everyone!

This is my first message to this list. So maybe I should tell a little
bit of my background. I'm working at Karttakeskus Ltd and we are just
now learning Geoserver more deeply. Karttakeskus is offering GIS
software solutions, consultation, spatial data and customized map
products. We are located at Helsinki, Finland. If you are more
interested about us please take a look at our website [1].

Now to the actual question I have.
We are using the 2.1.1 version of the GS.
I want to create a nested wms structure. I have achieved in this by
giving wms path to all the wms layers. But how can I get those "folders"
accessible? I want to be able to click the folder on my wms client and
get all the layers as a result. Now if I click a folder I get an error
telling me about a missing layer.
<ServiceException code="LayerNotDefined">
  Could not find layer myFolder
</ServiceException>
If I create a layer group with a same name as my wms
path it will still be a separate layer in the getcapabilities document.

I would appreciate a lot if someone could help me.
And I'm pretty sure that this is not my last mail to the list.

Thanks,

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
