Setup: Debian 6.0; Geoserver 2.1.1; Java 1.6.0_26; Apache 2.2.16

Hello List,

I use geoserver as mapserver for my mapbender application. Everything works
fine as long as I connect to geoserver from the intranet where the server is
located.

When I use any computer outside the intranet I can't establish a connection
to http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx:8080/geoserver. (No need to say that my application
doesn't work either.)

The port 8080 is open in the firewall, there a no proxy-moduls running
within my apache. There are of course no request.logs from geoserver. Using
"netstat -an | grep 8080" on both computers a can confirm that the client
tries to connect (SYN_SENT) but the server doesn't get anything. Geoserver
is the only application running an this port on this server.

Is there anything where you can point me to get it to work?

Albert
