Nope, absolutely the contrary, the last thing I want is people spamming jira with questions and invalid reports. I guess the wording should be improved somehow, the list of information is by experience what is needed for service related errors, open ended questions like the one above do not need that kind of detail, though you should appreciate that "why the axis is flipped in my data" depends on the service version and might also depend by the store used (wfs 1.1 cascading has a bug and will flip coordinates by default for example), the version of GeoServer you're using (hopefully the above bug will be fixed on day) and the version of the WFS service you're using (axis flipping is a feature in wfs 1.1, but it would be a bug in 1.0). Another thing is that the list increases the chances of getting a response, but it's not compulsory, and having it somewhere that I can refer people to makes it easier when I have to tell them "this is what I need to know", the current workflow is really like pulling teeth, it seems that people pretend their own experience is like everybody elses, reality is that with the plethora or operating systems, JVM versions, GS versions, services and data sources a certain issue occurs only under certain, precise conditions. So yeah, as said, maybe a tweak in the wording would improve things, I've tried to give it a go and relax a little that part of the document but I'll gladly accept further suggestions. But no, definitely I don't want anything to get into jira without being confirmed as a bug first, there is already enough caos in the tracker without having people to spam it further.
