Hi,
I have an openlayers client which serves postgis data from geoserver 2.1.2 on
ubuntu 10.04
I would like to serve some raster topography which is only available to me in
EPSG:31467 (gauss kruger zone 3 Germany)
As I would like to also include OSM and Google Satelite images with the data I
need to get a better understanding of geowebcache.(the docs are apparently
being written at the moment and so I don´t have any references)
Anyway...my plan was this...
1. Transform my raster images into EPSG:4326 (wgs84) and export into Geotiffs
2. Load into an imagemosaic in geoserver
3. seed with geowebcache in both EPSG:4326 and EPSG:900913
4. visualize my layers in openlayers client with map projection of either
900913 or 4326
My result is that the vector wms layers that do not get cached with geowebcache
are displayed correctly against google maps and OSM (as they are transformed on
the fly), but all my raster data is missaligned.
Could anyone please explain what I have to do to actually get
google/OSM/Geoserver WMS/ and geowebcache layers all aligned correctly? Is this
an openlayers problem or a geowebcache problem?
thanks for any help
Rob
