Ok, I seem to have solved the problem. It sure is not the best solution, but at
least I get access to my tilesets.
Simply deactivate the TMS and WMTS service in the "GeoWebCache" configuration
in GeoServer and it will work.
Anyway: If somebody has a better solution than just deactivating buggy
services, please let me know!

Hi list,
I'm experiencing a very weird problem regarding tilesets provided by GeoServer.
First of all, my configuration:
Ubuntu 11.10
Opengeo Geoserver 2.1.3 Build 06-Jan-2012 18:47
Sun Microsystems Inc.: 1.6.0_23 (OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM)
QuantumGIS 1.7.3
I have set up a WMS source in qGIS to grab prerendered tiles with the following
link http://ip:port/geoserver/gwc/service/wms?tiled=true
When I open the connection, my tilesets are displayed normally. However, Once I
have seeded them as png in EPSG:900913 I get a "Bad Request" Error and am not
able to load the tiles into qGIS. I posted this here because I don't think this
is a quantumGIS problem.
This is the error message (ip and port replaced):
Error downloading
http://ip:port/geoserver/gwc/service/wms?tiled=true&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetCapabilities
- server replied: Bad Request
