Any change in this? I would like to make a layer non-queryable for
getInfoRequests but at the same time still display it.

If that's not possible is there another way to cause a service exception on
a getFeatuerRequest? I did think about sending a CRS value that isn't
supported by the geoserver instance but in the case of the map application
that i'm developing this is caught when the user tries to display the map
image. The layer is automatically turned off so no getFeatureInfo request is
made.

I'm trying to make my web app more robust by testing service exceptions
except i can't think of a way to generate service exceptions.
