in Geoserver i have published a layer with native srs in wgs84 and select declared srs in EPSG: 3011. In my openlayers application, I want to show this wms layer over google map. But the layer do not display over google map. Then i go back to geoserver and change declared srs to wgs84 as well. and run my openlayers application again, this time layer successfully displayed over google map.
I want to know, is it necessary that native and declared srs should be same for displaying the layer over google map? Actually, i am cascading a layer from remote WMS and want to re-project this layer from wgs84 to swereff99_1800 (EPSG 3011). But the layer did not re-project as i understand because it did not displayed when i change declared srs to EPSG 3011. where is problem? am i right in my understanding.
