GeoScript isn't quite the right tool for configuring GeoServer services -
it works on geospatial data in general and not GeoServer settings.  For
this you would be better suited looking at the REST API:
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/restconfig/rest-config-api.html

There are also libraries available in a few different languages for working
with the REST API at a slightly higher level of abstraction.  I maintain
this one: https://github.com/dwins/gsconfig.py/

GeoServer-manager is another:
