Dear all,I am using Geoserver (2.1.x), and I am wondering if there is some functionality to publish one layer and re-publish it as separated layers. The case is that for some applications based on Geoserver, a master GIS layer is needed , while other applications rely on separated layers (which correspond to split layers from the master one, i.e. split according to one attribute). When layer maintenance is needed, we would like to publish only the master layer, and to publish split separated layers as well from the master one.
I could read the page: http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+36+-+Resource+-+Publishing+Split+and+Virtual+Configuration and it seems that what is is called "Publishing Split" is related to our needs.
Could somebody give me info if this feature is already supported in Geoserver? and possibly to point me to more documentation
