What I want for a raster type, is the ability to return the value of the raster at a requested x,y coordinate. Ie use it like an elevation service. AFAIK, the only way to do this is WCS, returning a tiny raster image and analyzing it to extract height. Not what WCS was designed for but can anyone suggest a better way?
