PointStacker currently doesn't support an equivalent of GROUP BY (i.e,
aggregating by one or more attributes). That's a nice enhancement to think
about!
You could always specify a layer for each attribute you want to depict, and
PointStack each of them. But If there really are issues with data access
performance this might not improve the rendering speed.
Another thing you could try is to grid/aggregate the points on the server
side, via a clever SQL query.
It would be nice to see the timings for the same data supplied as a
shapefile, to try and isolate what is causing the performance issue.
