Not sure if that is what you're looking for though. The above handles the
case in which the access control is performed inside the database,
and the scripts make sure the geoserver user is sent down to the database.
If you are looking instead for ways to manage the service and data security
rules in GeoServer, they are not exposed via REST at the time
of writing (that I know of, at least).
