I see, clever trick.

I'm afraid we have a fix in the pipe that will break this approach, the fix
will make a layer group that does not have all sub-layers visible be
advertised anyways, and only serve the layers that are actually authorized.
This fix might get into 2.2.2, but I'm not sure, might end up being applied
later.
