... this is periodically happening on my production geoserver machine...
processor just sits at 100% until i restart tomcat:

I've looked through the geoserver logs
/usr/share/opengeo-suite-data/geoserver_data/logs/geoserver.log, the tomcat
log /var/log/tomcat/catalina.out, the apache log etc, and I don't see
anything glaring.
Help!
