There was also a separate attempt to make a full javascript front end to
the REST api, it was a one man job
that got abandoned too after a little while.
The issue is that to make a UI like the one we're talking about we need one
or more javascript heavyweights.
and someone that is committed to develop it to completion.
If the initial version is both looking good and it's easy to pick up code
wise, there's a good chance it may have
follow up from others.
