I am facing a similar situation concerning WPS plugin under latest stable
version of GeoServer (2.4.4) running on Tomcat and Jetty (packed with the
geoserver standalone version).
When I tried to change the style of the raster layer "sfdem" with styles
that uses "gs:RasterAsPointCollection", geoserver shows the following
exception in the log:
2014-01-24 10:34:14,484 ERROR [geoserver.ows] -
java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to find function
gs:RasterAsPointCollection
at
org.geotools.filter.FunctionFinder.findFunction(FunctionFinder.java:205)
at
org.geotools.filter.FunctionFinder.findFunction(FunctionFinder.java:152)
at
org.geotools.filter.FunctionFinder.findFunction(FunctionFinder.java:127)

...
For making these tests, I just picked the SLD (g_point) shown here

I know that question, is very generic, but what can I am doing wrongly?
