I am seeing the same thing on 2.7-RC1. Repro is:
1. Do a WMS 1.3.0 GetCapabilities from the admin page 2. Click back in the browser, then keep drilling into the properties pages for various stores, layers, and layer groups, cancelling each time at the end or clicking back on the top left (back to home page) Eventually you will see in the console: 14 Apr 16:14:23 WARN [catalog.util] - There is code not closing CloseableIterator!!!
