Actually, I tested by using this time a wms vector layer as a basemap , and
defining the appopriate parameters (center..). The wms overlay layer
displays on this basemap perfectly (No pink tiles).
I did post on the other mailing-lists.
At this point I'd like to define OSM or Google maps as a basemap, and see
how it goes . The problem is that it would use map projection of EPSG:3857
(900913). But I'm working with EPSG: 4326.
