I'm not sure I'm following you. Perhaps you can explain your specific scenario in a bit more detail?
Can you say exactly what the source format is (i.e. what are you loading to the geoserver store)? Can you say what format you are requesting the WFS service to provide the feature(s) in? Can you be a bit more specific in explaining what you mean by "real" and "stroked"? By "stroked" do you mean the curve it made up of straight lines?
