Hi,
I’m running it now but with 70% compression to get closer to comparable files;
it is looking good so far.
I suspect my ECW files have heavy compression on the original data which I
suspect was probably huge tiffs anyway so the comparison here may be a little
off. Basically, I take your point that the GeoTiff’s can also be small even
with the overviews. I think I’ll have to look at how we were producing them
because I think we were using FME and getting huge results.

Yeah, ongoing saga with me and my raster files as you may remember from a few
years ago. I’m not against using other formats but I just never seem to be able
to get my image processing right. Did you use GDAL for your translation or was
it something else?
