Hi geoserver users
I have a backend service which is producing REST api requests to geoserver in
order to register many new layers.
Sometimes - lets say once a week - the geoserver REST request is finishing with
timeout. There are no messages in log file of geoserver and of tomcat. There
are also no new requests registered in tomcat access log.
In the Server Status page http://mytomcat/manager/status I see the processing
requests hanging since many hours and queuing new REST requests one by one.
Any ideas how to investigate?

In the backend service there are independent, parallel threads producing REST
requests. Could it be the "global configuration lock" described here:
https://sourceforge.net/p/geoserver/mailman/message/32457136/ ?
Could it be visible in jvm stack from jstack tool?

Regards

Bartek
