I see Jody already provided some good advice.

I'd recommend you expand on what you are trying to achieve. Are you looking for
"now" level outputs? Or are you trying to archive the information for some
reason?

That is, we get the "you want to track machines" part. The best way forward
depends on why you are trying to do that tracking. Safety? Efficiency?
Utilisation metrics? Or are you just trying to have a pretty picture (dots on
the map) situational awareness display for the boss? Any of those are
reasonable, but what you need to so depends on what outcomes you need.

One way to look at this is that if what you are collecting isn't going to help
you make (or update) a decision, its not really achieving anything. Doesn't
mean you won't have to do it, but the decision support part is probably the
really key part. The implementation can follow that.

Subject: [Geoserver-users] Machine Tracking with Geoserver

Hello, I am new to Geoserver. I have been working on a small project that use
to keep track multiple machine that are running on construction side using GNSS
device on machine. I am trying to do some research and someone said it might be
possible with Geoserver but I am really don’t know how.
Could anyone give me some guidance about this ? Is there really a possible to
do that ?
Thank you
