Current state of play:

three of five business driver complex examples are being built on unit tests and passing I'm working on the remaining 2 cases and on an upated copy of the Filter package in order to make if run against Attribute, not just Feature, then will be able to test XPath

will finish the construction test for measurement examples over the weekend, but the whole thing will take still a couple days more
np - I am hoping to hack a little on Saturday, and have a ferry ride on Sunday that I can put towards the effort. If possible I would like to have a solid idea and plan for people to consider for a geotools meeting.

If this Monday is too soon (not even sure if I can attend due to Thanksgiving holiday in Canada), perhaps we should aim for the 17th, opps I will be on the road then and really won't be able to attend.

Gabriel have you had a chance to think about a plan? I would love to see an update to that email I sent around in September (and placed the dates into confluence). I know that this is really a job for the geotools / udig / GeoServer community. I would at least like to keep track of various deliverables, and when the different projects can take part in this work.

Right now the delay is working out find for uDig (we cannot look into things until after GeoTools has a milestone release, and after our UDIG 1.1 release in November). I have not heard back any definiate plans from the GeoServer devel list, but I see the conversation is starting to occur.

In short we are doing great on the building consensus, and in putting together a good idea. We ran into trouble on our uDig deliverables with the CRS changeover last year, it took two months after we had decided to pull the plug on the old interfaces. A little bit of planning is worthwhile, a lot of planning is overkill, I just want to make sure things are feasible.

Admittedly we are getting better at this, but as evident on the user list, changes have consequences and we should consider the documentation changes as part of community acceptance for this.
