Yours plan seems good, and for sure it is really nice to see all this
work going on GridCoverage!
So in order to make the work easier, the first steps is to factor out
the GridCoverage module out of main. I volunter for doing that if every
one agree (but it probably need a vote at next IRC meeting).
I proposed to factor out GridCoverage a while ago, but one reason why
peoples was unsure about that is that GridCoverage should extends
Feature (according OGC a coverage is a feature). However, as the code
stand today, it is not yet the case and the split should be fairly easy.
So the question (to all the PMC): do I'm allowed to factor out
GridCoverage in its own module (module/coverage)? Or do we need a vote
at next IRC?
