Are you referring to just the interfaces? In general we are trying to break main up according to they layer diagram available in the developers guide. Martin just split main up once, and I am busting out all the interfaces after the 24th.

The interfaces for GridCoverage (derived from ISO 19123) are developped in GeoAPI's pending directory. In my understanding, the proposal was to split the GridCoverage implementation in its own module.

It doesn't means that the RnD work would not be done on a branch. It will be (I think). But in addition a module specifically about grid coverage implementation may help to make us more confident that we are not accidentally touching other features in main like Filters.

If there is good work for you guys to do, then lets keep modifying what we have while we wait for the ISO based interface to come together.

It is my understanding of the proposed plan (but in a branch, and after splitting coverage in its own module for safety).

What would really help is a point list of what packages you guys need broken out from main ...

Alesio, Bryce and Simone could tell more which package they target. On my side, the one that I can see are:

  org.geotools.image.*
  org.geotools.coverage.*

Its about all I can see write now.

        Martin.
