Using Maven 2 doesn't means the abandon of Maven 1 right now. Maven 1 and 2 can live together. Peoples can (if they want) try a Maven 2 build, and then just type "mvn clean" followed by "maven build" in order to come back to a Maven 1 build before to commit.

An alternative that I would like to explore is continuum, by Apache (http://maven.apache.org/continuum/), which already work with Maven 2.

- all tests are run (the last thing we need is an excuse for tests not be run).
