I think that is a limitation of the shapefile format?
We need to configure arbitrary shapefile datastore, with field name
lenght greater then 10 character.
Trying to configure the shape file from the geoserver web admin
console, produces the following error:
HTTP ERROR: 500
Duplicate+AttributeTypes+DefaultAttributeType+%5Bname%3DTOTAL%5FNO%5FO+%2C+type%3Dclass+java%2Elang%2EInteger+%2C+nillable%3Dtrue%2C+min%3D1%2C+max%3D1%5D
-->
The attributes names are:
TOTAL_NO_10
TOTAL_NO_11
that if truncated to 10-string lenght, are the same.
How can be solved this limitation on shape datastore?
We are using: Geoserver 1.3RC2 with GeoTools 1.2RC1
10x for any help.
