Hope I am not being offtrack, but if you are looking for
quick'n'dirty'n'scripty, download proj4 and do something like:
echo "2 45" | proj +init=epsg:27572
Or if you want to go backwards into geographics:
echo "941943 2009361" | invproj +init=epsg:27572
I can resist to the temptation to point-out an other approach:
Assuming that J2SE 1.4 and Java 3D is already installed on yours
machine, download and install OpenOffice 2.0
(http://www.openoffice.org), and then install the addin provided here:
http://www.espace.ird.nc/sicade/addin-openoffice/fr/install.html
I have not yet translated the pages in English...
Once the addin is installed, you can write in a spreadsheet cell:
=CRS.TRANSFORM("EPSG:4326", "EPSG:27572", A1:B1)
where A1:B1 contains 2 and 45 values.
No EPSG database to download and install; it is bundled into this addin.
Martin.
