maven has a jalopy plugin, we could make it part of the maven build to
format the source files.
More important: the configuration for maven's jalopy is stored in svn and
can be changed/saved on a module to module basis. Running jalopy from
Eclipse should definately be against the rules until an Eclipse jalopy
configuration can be stored in svn, and Eclipse knows how to find a
module-appropriate configuration.
Until then, you all may run "maven jalopy" on the geotiff plugin, but keep
your grubby Eclipse paws off! :)
Sigh - actually I think it was the Eclipse formatter causing grief,
Jalopy was innocent.
I'm upgrading my laptop from RH7.2 to Mandriva 2006 today, so I'll probably
put Eclipse on it to see if something like this is possible. As of now, I
don't use Eclipse so I don't know much about it (other than dirty Eclipse
users clobber my headers.) :)
Oh - headers, that may have been Jalopy after all. There is some kind of
comment markup you can put in to tell Jalopy to buzz off for a block of
code....
