This sounds great, I'm all for GeoTools in other languages. I have one concern with adopting maven and javadoc locations at geotools.fr, which is can all developers upload there? Or at least all PMC/release managers? It's bad if you are the only one who can upload Martin, we want there to be as few bottlenecks as possible.

I proposed to make maven.geotools.org to point toward maven.geotools.fr (in order to hide geotools.fr and allow James to change server later if we wish), but this kind of change is between James's hands.

I agree with allowing other peoples to upload on the server. We can either provides a password to more developpers, or put the repository on an other server. I think that both possibilities are opened.

lists.refractions.net/dist works nicely now, since all svn committers automatically have access. It might be easier to just get a geotools.org redirection to there?

We could ask them to create http://maven.refractions.net/ with two subdirectories ("repository" and "reports") and ask James to redirect http://maven.geotools.org/ to there. But lists.refractions.net currently allows WebDav access, while Maven 2 needs SCP for deploying JAR files. Whould it be possible for Refractions guys to allow SCP access on their [maven|lists].refractions.net server?

        Martin.
