A request was made in todays IRC meeting to see if we can get the PMC to be a bit more responsive. To start with we need to see who has time still to take part in this role. I know a couple of people have stepped down and I need to update the page....
So there are a couple of ways to do this one: 1. Ask the current list if they have time to continue 2. Mark and Sweep: check who attended this weeks meeting, or replied to the agenda items as per PMC responsibilities I need to emphasis that the community is very healthy with a lot of interesting development going on, but according to our procedures we needed a PMC to work through several issues during todays meeting. - some difficulty collaborating - lack of a stable geotools release for GeoServer and uDig releases going out this week - no progress on OSGEO incubation There were a number of other good ideas ventured in IRC on how we can improve GeoTools... - post the IRC logs to email - regular release cycle - more of a focus on quality, possible stable and unstable release alternating Cheers, Jody Using Tomcat but need to do more?
